I had a long, intriguing discussion with Honore today about God...

It's been a long time since I've thought about God, religion, transcendence and all that. For the past several years I've been a staunch disbeliever in Christianity, questionning the fundamental doctrine of why only Christians go to heaven, the hypocrisy of the church and the decadent, self-righteousness of many Christians that I know. But I've never given up faith in some sort of higher being, i.e. God and the beauty of all creation, the intricate and profound design of all that is life on this Earth.

Today I was challenged to think about if I was truly complete as a person without God in my life. What's out there beyond this world that I flatly ignore? Can I go on being happy without knowing the befores and afters of this fleeting existence known as life?

So much to think about...
