YOU RAN OVER A SMALL CHILD AND LEFT HIM TO DIE!!!

Well I'm graduating this weekend... I can hardly believe it, but I'm done with UCLA. Finally I'll be able to say goodbye to my abhorrable GPA/transcript and many of my foolish ways so that I can move on to newer and foolisher ones, without the old undergraduate baggage to get me down. I can't believe someone said I had poor impulse control! I would beg to differ, except for the blaring fact that it is probably all too true and that any attempt of mine to deny would result in peals of contemptible laughter.

But for the fact that I know that I'm going to a better place, I'd probably be lying in my own puddle of tears right now, or vomit, sobbing on how the best days of my life are over. However this is not the case. Rather, I'm going to the home of the big shots, SCCO, where "Doing it for the Children" is not just a motto, but a way of life. Where the real doctors are recognized amidst a brothel of unadulterated quackery. Where getting by with the least amount of work really isn't something to brag about...

It's like I have this enormous peace right now that I haven't felt in years, about my future that is. It's almost like I feel that things should be a cakewalk from now on. True, I'll encounter more work than I ever pictured and put in more hours than I was initially willing to give... But there's no longer that doubt gnawing at the base of my brain that used to keep me up at nights. Rather its been replaced with images of smooth sailing and sunny skies. Could this be what people mean when they refer to the calm before the storm? If I could fly I'd be a kite sweeping aimlessly thru the sky, stealthily dodging the rays of the sun and fighting with all my strength to break free from the ground. There might be something to anchor me down, only it wouldn't matter what it was or who it was because if I could only break free and if there was just a bit more turbulence I could fly away from it all and soar for a while, even if it should all come to a crashing fall.
