I was listening to KROQ today while I was reorganizing my room and was pleasantly surprised at the line-up of artists the DJ was airing over the radio; Blind Melon, Radiohead, Sublime, 311, Oasis, Garbage, just to mention a few. I couldn't believe it! KROQ was good again, like it hadn't been in years! Could it be that the listeners had wisened up and were finally appreciating all the rock that holds a special place in my heart? I happily emptied out my closet, basking in what seemed to be the Enlightenment of modern rock on public radio.

Unfortunately it turned out to be "Flashback Weekend" of 90's rock. Shit! Not only do I have nothing to look forward to but now I feel old. Since when did thinking back to the 90's qualify as a full-fledged flashback?
