Since school has begun, I have no other words to describe my week other than a slow grind... this sort of slow, steady wasting away of the hours in the day. Being awake at the butt-crack of dawn doesn't complement my lifestyle very well... nor does the incessant seven-thirty traffic that clogs up the 91 Eastbound. I'm late to every first class of the day, whether its at 8am or 1pm. This fact has resulted in my sitting in the front row of class nearly everday; less because I am a nerd, more because those are the only seats left ten minutes into class.
An interesting fact I've learned today:
the amount of energy (in ergs) that is produced by one pea falling a distance of one centimeter and hitting a surface is enough ergs to leave a brief but detectible impression of light upon the visual systems of every person that has ever lived. (It's true!)
Sigh. These are the sort of kicks that I squeeze out of life these days. And Friday nights have never been so dull. I made some packaged noodles tonight (added an egg for flavor), watched Queen of the Damned on HBO, and played with my cat (the greater highlight of my night). Tried to study for Monday's exam so that tomorrow would be free for something much better, if there is indeed a "much better" coming tomorrow.
Have you heard Israel's gonna try to push Arafat out of Palestine? It's reported that the overwhelming support for Arafat that came after this news was enough to put the color back into his cheeks. Christian Bale is going to be the new Bruce Wayne or Batman, while the director of Memento will be directing it. And Bush sucks. Oh yeah, you already knew that....
