Was listening to public radio in the car today when I heard the most amazing news. Apparently an artist in Tahiti designed this public artwork resembling a monolith in the middle of town. Looks like this:



It's the "Spectra-txt" and you can text message it from anywhere in the world with one of six commands that will prompt the 10-meter, 2 ton form to change colors. I haven't tried it yet, but it should be free to send international text messages for most of us (Janet and I text each other from NZ to US occasionally), and the Spectra-txt sends a reply message to say that it's received your command.

In celebration of the second greatest holiday of the year, I wanted to wish a sick-ass 420 to all my dear friends who know what it's like to get high. And in the continued spirit of all good, green and sticky things that are born from nature, Earth Day is here too! So let's try and be good to our dead and dying plants, not flick our cigarettes into the gutter (or at bums), and take a break from the "bling-bling", i.e. leave the Hummers and Escalades at home. That way we can preserve the planet and make it a tolerable place for future generations. Cheers!
